Overview
Wireshark is a free, open source network protocol analyzer used to capture and inspect traffic on a network. It decodes hundreds of protocols and is a standard tool for troubleshooting connectivity, latency, and application faults. Canadian network engineers, security analysts, and integrators use it to read packet captures during commissioning and incident work. It is maintained by the non-profit Wireshark Foundation and released under the GNU GPL v2.
